  • Stretchies on 17x10's & 17x8.5's

Alright guys so ive decided for the rears(17x10) im gonna be doing
    215/35
I just would like some help with the fronts as i cant decide what is gonna
look equivalent to the stretch on the back.
    I was thinking 195/35's??
opinions welcome, im not super experienced with stretched tires
    Thanks!

195/40 will be insanely difficult to seat. are you on air?

old setup on my car was 17x8.5 195/40 and 17x10 215/40.

          fronts

          rears

*edit, looked like this on the car.

          now im running 17x8.5 215/40 and 17x10 245/35

front, kinda hard to see the stretch.

          rear

With the setup on the e36, the front tires had a smaller rolling diameter than the rear, and i kinda bothered me. but since the car was pretty low it was not really noticeable, and i had a really hard time getting a hold of some 195/45's
And now on the e28, i bought all of the tires brand new. and they match in stretch and height and that is a huge plus for me, i don't have a good side picture of the car like with the e36. but this kinda shows it.

I would recommend for you with not going with too small tires, unless you are planing on being as low as my static e36 was. it looks really bad other wise. here is an example of my car with the front raised.

            195/35 is a size that doesn't exist.
Go up to a 40 series and be happy.
And 195/40 will be pretty easy to get on an 8.5, but 215 on a 10j wheel is a little gnarly. 195 on a 10j wheel is too gnarly.

This is a 215 35. The lips of your wheels will be kissing the pavement.

Heres a 215/40 quite a bit more sane.

Start from that. You need more on the front or less on the back. Its all a matter of opinion (to a certain extent, the laws of physis, safety, and common sense come into play when you're stretching tires)
But if you bump the rear up to 235 you still have a nice stretch and they are more or less even:

Just use will they fit and tyrestretch and you should be golden
