  • Volvo 240 help wanted.

So during my V8 swap, I will also be upgrading interior, suspension, brakes, and of course wheels. I'm getting the 1.25" thick, 5x108 to 5x114.3 adapters off eBay. I found a clean set of Enkei RT6's and I need to know if I will have any clearance issues of some sort (fenders, calipers, Ect...)
They are 17x8's front and rear, and they have an offset of zero.
I will be trying to wrap them in Achilles 205/40/17's on front and 215/50/17's on the rear.
If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it very much!
I have never bought a set of aftermarket wheels before so I still have a lot to learn.

Oh, and yes, I will be rolling the fenders, so I was wondering if I did roll the fenders, could I step up to 17x8's on the front and 17x9 or 9.5's on rear?

    Thanks, Chase.

You may run into issues in the front but I'd think the rears would work fine. You'll have issues rolling the rears though, the metal is super beefy. you'd be better served doing relief notches and folding them over with a hammer and dolly.

So what kind of offset should I look for or is it because they're 8's in the front? And okay, even if I have an actually fender roller?

        I have a 242gt with a V8 I am currently running BBS copies drilled to 5x108, 17x7.5 +20 with 205/45s front and 17x8.5 + 20 rear and 5 mm spacers 215/45s wth not much stretch
Tthe rear guards are pie cut and folded over. The Volvos rear track is 30mm per side narrower than the front. I am going to add 15mm spacer and longer studs to get the rear rims flush.

          Damn, it's clean. Haha.
How do you do the pie cut?
          And what kind of V8?

Can anyone tell me what size and width rim and offset I should look for? I still don't really understand offset so can some one enlighten me?
