  • Miata rubbing issues

I have a 92 miata and the specs are:

    Raceland Coils
    Rota Shakotan 15x9 et 0
    Nexen 195 45 15

Its lowered with stock camber and top hats. I have rolled the fenders and did a pretty minor pull.

I know this is a pretty darn common set up and i've heard people say "no rubbing what so ever." "Very minimal rubbing." List goes on an on..

But shoot! Mine rubs horribly when I turn sharp.. say, in a culda-sack(spelling). It doesn't have to even be that sharp.

What are people doing that I'm not?

Stop going in cul de sacs.

            Holy stretch man.

I'm all for stretch, but 165/45 on a 9 is going to just be silly.

It looks terrible on a Miata.

Just rub. Isn't going to hurt anything.

If your not doing this, your doing it wrong.

Do ettt! More stretch can't hurt, as long as you know what you're doing.

Well if it's any consolation I'm on skinny 14s and rub like a bastard when I turn. I've heard the same things about people not rubbing as well though and I honestly have no idea what they're doing.

You're more than likely just rubbing the bumper to fender support. Just hammer it a bit out of the way or grind it down some.
Also if you haven't removed your inner fender liners do it now.

Fender liners are out. And I'm positive its the fenders, I have checked everything out. But I'am ganna look at the support, i might be rubbing that a little too so thanks for that advice. I will see what's up
