  • redrilled futuras - should i buy them?

Guys, i am searchin for cool 18" wheels 5x120 for my e46, i came across those redrilled futuras, their original PCD is 5x112, and they had been redrilled to 5x120 also, the inner side of the hub/center is flat. Should i get them or not?

Buying re-drilled wheels is fine, as long as they have been done right. In this case, I have never seen allen head bolts used as wheel bolts before. It looks as if the holes might be too small to run a regular wheel bolt. If the allen head bolts are grade 8, you will be fine. If they are the right price, get them. You could always have someone drill out the holes where the allen bolts are and have inserts pressed in.

Futuras are forged and flatback, You're going to be fine with that! Also most new wheels on Volkswagens are tight fit so they use not allen bolts but Torx I think.

The allen bolts are tuner lugs

I think that most of the latest JDM wheels are with tight holes so they require such allen/inbus lugs.
I don't think that there're inserts in the "new" holes.

allen bolts are tight, less likely for someone to steal your wheels
