  • Question about BMW barrel.

    Hey what's up!
I recently picked up a set of style 19's with tires.
All of the barrels looked nice except for one, which i thought was just a bend, but when I dismounted the tires I found this:

My question to you guys is, Is it even worth fixing? If so is this repairable?
It looks as if someone tried to repair it before? So is it also safe to drive on after repaired?
Any answers/advice would be great, Thank you!
    I Lurk a lot.

Im gonna say it is repairable but you would spend the same amount if not more money fixing it than to find another barrel and be done.

looks to be repairable, but gonna need some welding and machining. at the places I've been to, it would probably range between $100-200.

Someone has horrible hand-eye coordination with their hammer. It's pretty easy to find a new barrel, I'd just do that.

Ahhh, alright. I might just go around and see if I could get a quote, the fact that the barrel isnt the normal 17x8 barrel is why i might fix it. Thank you for the your help!

Haha, I thought the same thing, I don't even want to know what went on before. I would be happy to buy a new barrel, but then I wouldn't have my staggered set up. The fact that this barrel is 17x7.5 makes it a little harder to find a replacement. Thanks!

Thats a less-desirable barrel then, even more reason to change it out.
