W123 Wheels - 300d

Wanting to throw a 17x7.5 and 17x8.5 ET35 all around set of wheels on my 1985 300D.

I intend on cutting 1.5-2 coils off all around for a little low.

Any input on wheel specs?

I know mike-81-240d is running a 17x8 ET36 front & 17x9 ET30 rear on his W123 300TD.
