  • Tire size help? I have no idea where to go

So I recently grabbed my wheels, 8x18 and 9x18 but I'm super lost with the tires. I was expecting the wheels to be 8.5/9.5, and was gonna grab some 215/35 and 225/35, but since they ended up being half an inch smaller, I don't know where to go from here. A friend of mine is running 215/40's on his 8's, and that doesn't really give me the stretch I'm looking for. I know an 8'' is a bit difficult to stretch on, so I'm not looking for anything crazy, just wanna make sure I clear the fender (they have an offset of 38 and I'll be running a 20mm spacer), and I'm also trying to achieve a certain look, having the lip of the wheel poke out of the tire.

Also, to make matters even harder, I'm on a pretty strict budget.. but any and all suggestions of sizes or even tires would be a great help. I was looking at Nitto Neogen's, 205/40 and 215/40, but I'm looking to go a bit cheaper.

SO my question: what size tires should I run on a 8in/9in setup for minimal sidewall (but not rubberband) and slight stretch?

You should also look at DrAK's build thread. Of the black touring, before he got the BBS RF's on he had a staggered set 18x8 and 18x9 running "i think" falkens 215/35 and 225/35. Those pictures will be early in the build thread.
