  • Painting center caps with recessed lettering

Just wondering if anybody has any tips or recommendations for painting center caps with recessed lettering?

I have the gotti center caps and painting them by hand would leave them uneven looking.

Looking to paint them red with black lettering.

Either tape off the letters, or place a bit of vaseline in the recces' and paint wont stick to it.

Paint the entire cap red (a few coats). Then paint the cap black with one coat, and Wetsand the cap thereafter. If you painted enough coats of the red, you'll Wetsand the black off of the cap and get to the red and then you can polish it up and clear it.

Or do the same thing and when you spray the black, instantly dab a clean rag in some alcohol and remove the black from the cap before it dries.

spray the letter color first with paint. let it dry then put vasoleen in the lettering and wipe the center cap clean then wipe it with a rag with brake clean then paint when all dry wipe out the vasoleen
