air leak problem 3PC wheel someone help please

so i mounted my front tires last night and once i was done i started cleaning my lips so i sprayed some simple green on them and i heard air bubbles and then saw that there was air leaking out of a couple of the bolts about 3-5 bolts. do you think they are just not tight enough? or can i put some silicone on the bolts.

i guess im asking for the est soulution

I'm guessing you didn't seal them well enough and need to take that wheel apart again and start all over. Sucks but there's no shortcut.

moto is right. you have to remove all bolts, disassemble, wire brush all silicon off, bolt up back together with loctic 242/3 blue, and use GE metal/aluminum II silicon.

1 bottle will do all 4 wheels.

damn they have a aluminum gasget thats why i was questioning tightening.

i have a bottle of it at the house i will try and just unmount the tire and lay i alil thicker between the twho halfs first and if that doesnt work then i will split it :/

they need to be resealed for sure. you need to seal the pieces to each other and then seal along the thickness of the face after tightening down the bolts.

tires are going to clearly need to come off for this, and the wheel basically needs to be disassembled unfortunately. I wouldnt waste your time globbing more sealant on unless the pieces were sealed properly to each other to begin with. which from air leaking at the bolts sounds like they were not.

yea it sucks cause i bought them off someone refurbished so damn, i guess ill have to take it apart unfortinitly, do you know off hand what bolt tool i will need for work bolts?

standard 12 point sockets should do the trick. 8mm/10mm 12 pt sockets are most common for most of the wheels out there. I think work fits into that category as well iirc

usually its an 8mm 12pt head, and 10mm nut.
