  • 2 Different Front Wheels (3 Piece Content)

Another question and its an odd one. So i have a set of 3 piece O.Z. wheels and it ends up two of the front lips and barrels are different sizes.

    1 wheel has
    7" barrel and 1.5" lip = 8.5" wide

    The other wheel has
    7.5" barrel and 1" lip = 8.5" wide

Now my question is, does the offset remain the same seeing as though the .5 inch difference in lips to barrel is equalled out? Also would this mount safely on the car? It seems like even though the offset would be the same, the lips on either side would be different distances to the inside fender edge. Let me know what you think?

Just think about the word ´offset´ for a sec...
It could only be the same if your centers are different.
To run them correctly you need a .5" spacer for the one with the higher offset.

Is the disk the same on each wheel? It is possible for wheels with different lips sizes to have the same offsets if the wheels are different disk sizes.

The centers are both the same. Do you think there would be any negative side effects if I ran this set up with the .5 spacer on one of the wheels? It seems kind of ghetto.

how are you measuring those lips ?

you say one is 1 inch and the other is 1.5 inch...but they look more like a 2" and 3 or 3.5" lips.

the lip is measured from the bolt face of the ring of bolts to the tire bead. most 1 inch lips I have seen have the rim folds back after the bolt ring and then rolls out towards the lip.

With the spacer many people wouldn't really realize it, maybe subconsciously they would and they may think something looks off, but I doubt it. I think that would be fine with the spacer, sounds safe to me. However the resell value isn't gonna be great. It'd be better to get new lip and barrel so it matches, at least when you sell them the money wouldn't have been blown

Find a matching lip/barrel combination IF the centers are the same. The case of AMG OZ Aeros is that the centers exists in various back pad/offset combinations so check and measure your center's back pad!
