O.Z. Futura Sandwich Mount Question

Looking to widen my O.Z. Futuras with some 2.5" lips, and I want to get as wide of a wheel as I can. I have sandwichable centers and I was wondering if I could do this with the new lip as it mounts different. The old lips were 1" and allowed for less surface area of the center to show were the new lips leave he whole center exposed. Can you still seal it like this?

It'll be fine its common for people with oz wheels to do this, keep in mind it makes the wheel .5 wider. I'm still not exactly sure how this affects offset but from what I can figure out its negligible. I'm sure someone knows the answer to that but to me if you were 8.5 +35 rear mounted you'd be 9 +33 - +37, what confuses me is although your making it wider the wheel is being widened evenly forwards and backwards.

Your fine, I just split my 16" Futuras and they were bolted together exactly like pictured above.
