  • Widening Style 5's is it possible?

I have been on the GTO forums for a few years now and a common thing for people to do is widen their stock wheels. So what I was wondering being that a BBS style 5 are a 2 piece wheel is it possible to have them widened similarly to any stock wheel?

Because having wider wheels for wider tires to me is always a good thing. And I can alway run spacers on the car.

So is it possible or impossible?

If you took the amount of effort you used to make this thread and put it toward searching instead, you would have found multiple examples of people widening style 5's.

The closest place to you is probably weldcraft www.weldcraftwheels.com

Sorry for not searching. Thanks for the link though. I think I may have been on that site before.

I had a set of 17" rotas widened by weldcraft. Cost was like $175 a wheel, but turn around time was only about a week and as of 1 year and 10k miles later they are still perfectly straight and true. I highly recommend weldcraft.

You had Rotas widened? Why not buy real wheels built to your specs?
