  • Help calculating offset on Work VS-XX's

Hey so i read the sticky and posted in it but i still can get a definite answer to my question. My front vs-xx's are 18x8 et34 with 1.5" lips and im putting on 2.5" lips. Will they be 18x9 et9 or et21?

    Thanks

adding 1in of lip lowers the offset 12mm

^^ what he said. Every .5" added its roughly -6mm is offset.

So you would be 18x9 +22

This is all you will ever need to know when it comes to offset calculation.

        +1" lip = -12.7mm offset
        +.5" lip = -6.35mm offset
        -.5" lip = +6.35mm offset
        -1" lip = +12.7mm offset

        +1" barrel = +12.7mm offset
        +.5" barrel = +6.35mm offset
        -.5" barrel = -6.35mm offset
        -1" barrel = -12.7mm offset

          Pretty much ^

Just remember offset is measured in mm, but wheel width is measured in inches

          1 inch= 25.4mm

I mean you could remember that or people could just learn the concept. Remembering tricks and rules is stupid IMO when you can just learn how something works and then be able to logically solve any problem. If that makes any sense..

you mean that you want me to understand why I do something? and not just have a trick to reach the end result? unpossible!
