  • White Steelies on Boxster

Its time to replace my wheels on my Boxster, I love the white wheel look and am ether going to invest some cash into refinishing these or buy some white 17" steel wheels (I'm kinda going for the old 356 outlaw look). Is diamond racing the goto or is there anyone else I should keep in mind? What are your thoughts on the steel wheels? Anyone up for a photoshop?

    Cheers,
    Stu

      ^^ what he said.

I am sure you could find some Centerlines would give an outlaw look without the weight.

i would guess something like this is what your looking for?

from what i've read, these steel wheels came on a lot of 80s and earlier Porsche's.

        Or how about these?

probably outta reach but it would be baller status to have some 3 piece or monoblock aluminum wheels that had a similar look like the ones above. The owner had these custom made (apparently) to look similar to the vintage wheels

That blue car is exactly what inspired me. I love that thing! And yes those are way out of reach, I'd like to get close though. I've had several pair of Diamond Racing wheels back in my BMW 2002 days and they did alright but yes they were pretty heavy. I'd imagine they're close to the stock wheels though which are absurdly heavy

there's a handful of aftermarket alloy wheels that have similar designs, it'll just take some investigating.

IMO these would look clean on your boxster

First off, you have a Porsche, do not get steel wheels that would be silly. If you want some pretty good quality wheels, check out Image wheels ill include a link, they have a number of three piece wheels you can have built to your spec that look like old school steel or outlaw wheels.

Do your car some justice and get a set of nice wheels

Never personally ordered from them, but I've seen a number of their wheels over here in the states and they are definitely quality and a reputable company, I would say call them up and ask them directly about how they ship and any other info you need.

My suggestion is 911 Turbo Twist's I think they look awesome on boxsters. I had the stock BBS's on my boxster when I had it. I loved them. Even cleaning the wheels with a tooth brush. But I bought a set of BBS's for the GTO so obviously it wasn't too bad
