Work vs xx step lip conversion

Hi guys
I'm wanting to rebuild my 17" vs xx with new barrels and outter
I wanna do step lip conversion

I want to tackle the project with the most cost effective as possible

I have done few research on here and other sources
And found few companies who can make custom barrels and lips for it
(But I'm looking for other options for cheaper inner barrels)

I also found that 18" work meisters s1 3piece uses 36 bolts barrels and lip (which is the same bolts use for vs xx)

Will I be able to use 18" meisters barrels on my 17"vs xx?

Anyone heard or done this before??

The inner diameter of the lips and barrels is what's going to make or break it. As long as the id is the same or even a hair smaller on the 18's the rest could be machined to fit. I went trough this trying to convert some Mito's a while back. If I were to make a semi educated guess I'd say the Miester lips will bolt right up.

I don't see why Meister lips and barrels won't work. I'm refinishing my meisters now and they seem the same as vsxx.
