I used to run 9.5x17 with 225/35 on my old sedan... Even that was a pretty decent stretch... 205 is getting pretty extreme.

I think 205's would look too skinny under an e46.

Here are my 215/40's on 9.5 ... not the greatest angle

and 205/40 on 8.5 on the front

                    ??

                    id say 215/40's should work.
i have those up front on my 10's and i think they would better suit 9.5s

                    also depends what tire.
i have three different brands on right now
fusion stretched way to weird but might look better on a 9.5.
                    yokohama's stretched perfect
and my federals in the rear dont stretch thatr great. thats why i had to raise my car lol

                        no dont do that.
if anything do 215/40s up front and 205/40s in the rear
so you can poke more without rubbing

it wont look weird at all if you poke the rear out more than the front.

                            heres som pics
                            215/40 front yokohama
                            215/45 rear federal

                            i love this stretch imo

                            doesnt stretch nearly as much.

my goal is to get 225/40's up front and 215/40s in the rear
