  • Tires for Saab TRX rims? help

    Hello

    If I have this..

And want tires, thoose are 15,4" (!) and not easy to find tyres to.. But a guide for thoose wheels (They are called TRX wheels.) says that you may mount "200/60 HR 390, 210/55 VR 390, 220/45 VR 390" on to them..

I think 220/45/390 and some drop would look kinda different and pretty wicked?

Any tips here, special for dealers of such tires?

(Pictures of actual car will be posted later, got it for free so tought I would have some fun!)

Your best option is to replace the wheels. TRX was a tire and wheel technology conceived of and introduced by Michelin in the 1970s. It never took off and the few tires still available are expensive. Some people retain TRX setups on vintage sports cars because they're period-correct.

Coker specializes in oddball tires and they still sell TRXs:

Thanks for answear, I know I should probably give this up, but it would be cool to get my hands on a set of tires.. but I guess I have to settle for something else.

Yeah dude, don't bother. Not only are they very hard to find, but by today's standards they perform poorly in almost every way.

Except for when I feel like melting tires guilt-free (original spare FTW...kinda)
