It depends on your coilovers but I know et23 on a 9.5 clears B&Gs which are some of the fattest coilovers available for MK4s. If you're on a thinner coilover, et25 or 26 is probably the highest you can go while still clearing the shock body

Are you sure? My 9 ET17 just barely clears the spring perches up front with 1-2mm of clearance and 9.5 ET23 is 12mm less inner clearance.
I guess it depends on if they are 17s or 18s and how far the perches are spun down. The perches does cut clearance by probably .5" or so...

definately mean highest. i want to keep stock fenders for now. very high chance of this getting traded in. i'm running koni's spun all the way down, and the wheels will be 17's. hmm...
