im trying to stance my 190e.and im hoeping this is the place to get some davice other than "stretched tyres are stoopid and illegal" ..

ive got a nice set of wheels for it.i bought some tyres, but i made an expensive mistake and they dont fit..i need a lower profile.but they are staggerd wheels so its confusing me as to what size tyres to go for,.(profile/width)..i dont want anything to drastic

    they are..

    fronts 8.5 j
    rears 9 j..

has anybody got any pics of 8,5 j and 9 j wheels with stretch?.

    cheers in advance

ok.cheers.i have tried tyre stretch.com but they dont seem to have a very good picture of what im looking for..

the thing thats confuseing me..because they are staggerd wheels.i need a higher profile on the front than i do the back..i think i need a 35 profile on the front..but then what width do i need on the back?..

(so that the profiles will match)..

if anyone got pictures of 8.5j or 9 js with stretch and specs ..would be great.

first of all you gotta know the offsets of the wheels, then we can help with some advices...

also you can check out the BUILD section, easily can find a lot of information about stanced w201's

This site really does help out on decisions of wheels.

With such a minor stagger, I'd say just run the same sizes all around. Run a 205 width with whatever profile you need and you should be good.

right cheers guys..ive got the wheels sorted as far as offsets go..ive had them custom built to make em fit..(3 piece splits)..

just need to sort the rubber out now..so i think im going to look at going the same width all round.

                  i have a 205/40 on a 17x8.5 and a 225/45 on a 17x10 (only because a 225/40 is hard to find)

                        17x8.5 et13 up front
17x10 et 20 in the rear.
you wouldnt be able to fit something like that on stock fenders, mine are gutted, cut, and have the 16v flares on them, then they are pulled about .75"
