  • AZEV A 17x8,5 tyre suggestions?

I have some 17x8,5 et 13 for my e34, can anyone recommend a tyre size? i want slight rubber stretch but not overdone.. i was thinking 205/45(50?)/17.. anyone know how this will be? to small sidewall? got any pics with similiar size?

    thanks

    I'd say a 215/40 would be a good choice:

    Here's 205/45:

    Or 205/40:

Or 215/35 which looks really nice imho bt not all that stretched

215/40 looks nice, but im worried the wheels will look tiny in the e34's wheel well, and maybe a little taller sidewall will look better and be more comfy... got any pics of 215(205?)/50?

Oh my, I didn't see it was for an E34... those tire sizes I suggested are more suitable for E36s.

Sorry, don*t have any pics of 215/50 or 205/50.

But imho, if I were the one looking for e34 wheels, I'd ditch the idea with the 17s and just go get some 18s and some super thin rubber, 8.5x18 with 215/35 or something. There's not enough stanced E34s on 18s out there.

Found 215/50/17... i think i maybe want a tiny bit more stretch then that... so 205 is still very much an option, altho i am leaning against 215/50(45?)

                    Hello.

Why are you looking into stretching your tyres? just because of the look?
Because i think it looks kinda dumb with that offset if your not gonna space it out and drop the car on a e34. The reason most people run stretched tyres is because so the can get the rim flush/poked.

Yea you are going to need spacers to pull off a stretched tire with those wheels on an e34

It is gonna get a decent drop along with the spacers in the summer.. but i still need it to be quite driveable since the roads around here is of really low standards and want it to still be a bit comfy... need to find a balance between them all..

ended up with 225/45/17 on 8,5 rims, Nankang NS2 tyres

                            looks perfect.
