Wear depends on your camber settings, your toe settings, hell, the way you drive would most likely be different to the way I drive. I cant answer that.

I wouldnt know what size you would need as all those things can vary depending on the car, if the arches are rolled, how much they are rolled etc.

You're going to have to try different sizes to find one that suits the application.

            • I understand that I was just wondering how they stretch do they run narrow or big compared to other tires of the same size.

              • Nankang ns2's run thin, continentals are about the same, falkens run wide. That's my experience the last couple of months

                • Falkens 512s/452s are known for running thin I thought?

                  • Ive always thought if a tire is too big, either sell it and get smaller ones or blow it up doing a burnout, then buy new ones....

                    • Any opinions on Nankang AS-1's? I know they're cheap and wont last as long as other brands but I'm looking for opinions on stretch. Do they run small? Comparable in size to 512's?

Currently have Falken 512 215/40/18's on an 8.5". I'm looking for a smaller sidewall height. 205/40's are what i'm looking at. How do Nankangs compare to the 512's in size?

                      • 225/40/18 Fuzion ZRi on a 18x9 - in my opinion, perfect for a DD in Toronto. Nice stiff sidewall, has a rim protector, and runs narrow..

                        • Bump.

I'm finally trying to get some wheels for my car.

                          I'm thinking 17x8 front et 32 with a 195/40 for the fronts
                          And a 17x9 et 25 with a 215/40 for the rears.

I don't want a ton of stretch, but that seems to look good. I'm thinking Yokohoma S.Drives because they are available in both sizes and I am OCD about running similar tires.

                          Thoughts?

                              215/40

looks way better with the 215.
