Bump...i have a similar question and need some advice.
Iam between these tires-
NANKANG AS 1 205/40/18 ($72)
LEXANI LX SEVEN 215/35/18 ($59)
NANKANG NS2 ($72)
...I've seen ns2's streatched on an 18x8.5 and it looks good. Would give me clearence needed and is a good looking streatch but wondered if anyone could help point me in the ring direction. From what I've gathered LEXANI is an NEXEN tire. I've read mixed reviews but for $59/each the seem pretty tempting.
Real question i guess is can anyone vouch how do nexens run in comparison to ns2's?
I've spent so much time searching thread upon thread.
Thanks in Advance fellas =)

federals are the way to go. just make sure you order a size down from what you actually want. all federals run a size wider give or take.
225/45/17 yokohama vs 215/40/17 federal
215/40/17 federal ss595 on a 17x10 wheel
by they way the traction is awesome on these tires, especially for the price. i would say they are a comparable tire to the falken fk452 but better imo.Last edited by Schultz28; 01-13-2012, 06:17 AM.

Wow I should've read this thread before I got Falken 912 in 205/45 17 to stretch on a 17x8 today. It came out with a mild stretch compared to when I had Falken 512in 205/45 17, the stretch was perfect.

I just had Falken 452's 215/35 put on my 19x8.5 wheels and they stretched without any problems. And then the local tire shop who mounted/balanced them for me told me my tire was too small for the wheel. I told them that was what I wanted and it is called stretch. I was told it was dumb. *sigh* Small town Texas.
As for places to buy, I've always dealt with Performance Plus Tire out of Cali. They usually have the best prices and shipping is cheap. $19 shipping for a set of tires and it only takes 2 days to get from Cali to Texas.

if you're looking for stretch that is the wrong tire size, or the wrong rim width depending on how you look at it. NS-II's are slightly on the thin side.

What U guys think about 205/40 R17 Nankang NS-II on a 7,5" wide rim? Any pictures? They run pretty small right?
