  • Falken 512's were the best i've seen. Excellent looking sidewall, fairly durable, and had a good tread pattern. I ran 205/40's on my 9's.

    • The achellis run pretty standard.
      Stretched well for me.

I recently did some hunting down, and I am led to believe that the ATR series is being discontinued.

The 512's stretch awesome, they run pretty narrow.
I know some people are having trouble sourcing them though.
There is the Falken Ohtsu FP7000 which is known to be a replacement for the 512.
The tread is non directional though.

I am currently on a set of Accelera Alpha's stretched.
They stretched great, goo looking tread design, sidewall.
I've only put about 400 miles on them.
No defects, no bubbles, or anything of the sort so far.
After a few thousand we'll see if theres any bubbles.

        • anyone knows how maxxis victra stretch?

          i have Nankang ns2 215/35R19 on 8.5*19" now.

want the same stretch on 9.5" rim so i tought 235/35R19 would fit nice? but is the maxxis wider then nankang maybe?

              • I ran nankang ns20 205-40 on 17x9 and I loved them. Their dirt cheap they stretch great and they ride pretty well. They do wear out pretty quick but for $60 a piece you really can't complain. I put 1200 pretty aggressive miles on them with -3 front and -4.5 rear and they were still basically new looking.

                • i think nankangs are okay. 215 35 18 on a 9. the stretch was decent. just remember to flip them more often. i think they might be a little softer than other tires

                    • All of the tires you mentioned are solid choices.

215/40 on 16x9 aint too hard of a stretch either, could go 205/40 if you wanted a somewhat tougher stretch.

                        • It's subjective. Everyone would tell you something else.

My favs are the T1R's but you should pick the one you like most.

                            • I personally run Falken 512 and from my understanding the 912's are about the same. Cheap and perfect if you go through tires quick

                              • Looking for some feedback on Federals.. SS595s to be exact. I'm bagging my wrx and I want to run a 225/35 on 9.5. I'm worried about the durability of such a small sidewall.. Anyone have experience with this?
