So the other day I was poking around Jim Kramer's field full of cars and parts. He is a '63-'64 Mopar parts specialist with hundreds of thousands of parts for any old Mopar. Dare I say millions. Anyway, I came across a set of deep dish (probably 10+ inch wide) old school Crager SS wheels. I was SO excited. I had never seen anything like this and they were just laying in a pile of wheels!
Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the face of the wheel was some sort of repo and it was welded into a steel barrel. They probably aren't real Cragars. But has anyone heard of such a thing? Does anyone still weld faces into steel barrels like this? Sadly, I have no pictures :/
