  • Just some 17" wheels. Cromodora?

Hello there, my first post on this board! Bought these babies for the price of an jack daniels bottle from a friend 8) and since the summer is ending here im going to restore them. Was just wondering if oz lips fit onto them since I havent found anyone who sell lips for cromodoras? Im maybe answering my question now but in my mind they should fit since these are built by OZ? Specs as now is 5/120 8x17" et 35 if I remember right. Gonna rebuild them to 8.5-9" front and atleast 10" on the rears.

Do you folks have any suggestions on colorcombos on bolts and wheelcenters? The lips are going to be polished if I dont get any crazy idea about the colors. My car is btw Silvermetallic

Haha good try Did some research on the net and found out that oz lips will fit. So.. Its just to order new lips and bolts. Still abit confused over the color. Should I powdercoat them the same color as they originally came in or which color should I paint them? Not really feeling for black centers. Red? Gold? Brown? Grey?

And no, Im not selling the wheels Atleast not yet!

So stoked right now. Eariler today I ordered new outerlips for the wheels. 2" front and 3.5" rear. So theyr are going to be 8.5" and 10" wide Cant wait for them to arrive!

Did some measuring today and seems like 10" will be just fine, maybe have to roll the fender a littlebit!

Going to look nice later with the new lips!

Nice wheels, good potential! I wonder if they've ever made them in 18" fitments. and 5x114..

Interested to see the build up on these wheels. subscribing.

Well to be honest I have never seen them in other than 17" 5/120 and 5/112? (vw, dont remember the pattern) But it would be awesome if they were made in 18-19" too. Would be perfect for my dd then Hook up with felgen-garage.de and ask him if he has any info about this wheels. I've done some research on the net but they seem to be very rare!? Not much info out there..

Gonna take the wheels apart and go to the painter to see what colors he have to offer. And wait for my lips and bolts. Feels like its gonna be a long waiting time. Gaah..!

Edit: have to take a look on my pics tomorrow, so you guys dont have to twist your head so much.. :

You can use OZ or RH lips, i wish mine cromodoras were 5x120 instead of the useless 5x112...

Long time no see. Been winter here for the last like 5 months so have been busy with other interests. But now I have to finish the wheels since the summer is coming in a hurry. The new 3.5" lips turned out to be a good choice trying to update this a little better now when the time is back. Rear hubs are at my friends machineshop to be redrilled to 5/120 pcd. So cant leave the centers to the painter until I get the center he borrowed for measuring back.

dude I got a set of these, thanks for the preview on the wide lips. can you say where you got them and if they are OZ or RH ? been looking for good used lips but not much luck. new lips from Tunershop are gonna be $600+ for a pair.

I can only fit an 8" up front but I can do 10" rears. so I was going to leave two of them as is and get 3" lips for the rear.

I'm considering painting the centers black and using black bolts. my center caps have a few broken tabs so I'll need to figure out what to do there...although I really like the way they look without caps.

I did some research and did not find really anything if the oz lips would fit. Talked to Claus at felgen-man/garage and he said that there are 2 different kinds of cromodora bully wheels. One earlier model that cromodora built and one later model that oz built. So I took a chance and trusted on my luck and ordered 4 new oz lips from tunershop. But they did not fit.

The difference to the cromodora lips was not huge
As seen in the picture you see that there is abit of a gap between the center and the lip. Innerdiameter of the ozlip is a little too big. So the bolts did not line up properly either. Had no other choice than making custom lips. Sent the oz lips back to tunershop along with one of the old cromodoralips so they could make me new custom ones. Really good service from them:thumbup:. So if you have a hard time finding lips contact tunershop to get custom made lips since they should have the measurements from my wheels there

Oh man they gonna look good with new lips and some color.
