  • Volk Rays

Saw a set of Volk Rays on craigslist for dirt cheap. The guy only has 3 of them and a couple of em have small cracks. Was wondering if you guys think these are real or if there just replicas? The guy claims to not know anything about the wheels, heres the pic he sent me.

Dude, you have started 7 of the threads on the first page of wheels/tires.
    STAHP IT.
Do some research man. People here are happy to answer questions, but you're abusing that right and your forum etiquette sucks.
It's very easy to find out if these are real or fake, I can tell, find out- it's not hard.

Lol i know some of my questions are dumb im young and still learning. Anyways heres the reasons i think there real/fake

Real-they the stickers on em ( could be fake.tho)
-they have high performance tires (also doesnt mean wheels are real)

      Fake-they have both a 5x114 and a 5x100 bolt pattern
-i dont see volk stamped into the side but cant tell cuz picture is too blury when i zoom in

      Any input guys? Thanks

You already know the answer, they are fake since there isn't a RAYS stamp on them. Please stop with all the threads and search.

They don't have a 5-lug pattern at all...

Sorry to dig this up, but to the OP, before you ask a forum questions that may make you look dumb, ask the seller of the wheels as many questions as you can and obtain as many pics and as much info as you can get. Many high end wheels will have the manufacturer name/logo cast or stamped on the wheel somewhere, usually on an inner lip, the back of a spoke or in the center near the lug holes. They will also generally have a manufacturing QC sticker or stamp either on the inside of the barrel (outside in some cases) or on the back of the spokes which will have the wheel model, diameter, width, offset and sometimes manufacture date and serial number (my Rays have this). A lot of fake wheels have little or no info, and a dead giveaway? MADE IN TAIWAN or MADE IN CHINA, when did you last hear of TE37s being made anywhere but Japan? My point is ask to see all.of this before you buy. Also, real TE37s arent multifit, and I can guarantee you those are nowhere near as light nor strong as the real thing. Decals are also the wrong size and I've never seen them in black, only blue.

            Youll learn.
