  • Balancing wheels without scratching?

Just wondering, before i go to get my wheels balanced, how can you get the weights on the lips without scratching them?

Don't wanna go get tires fitted on my new wheels and have the shop bang them on with a hammer kill my nice polished lips!

    cheers guys

those bang on weights are old school, all wheels i've had balanced of late use stick on weights inside the barrel for sure

If they have lip just have them put the weights on behind the face. If they say they can't go somewhere else it's just a setting for the balancer
