  • A Quick question about wheel widths for E36.

    Hello,

Just a question, I'm after some opinions on some widths and offsets ran on an e36 sedan.

Now I'm contemplating doing a staggered setup, with 15x9.5's up front and 15x10's in the rear, now i've looked at some wheels and the offest on the 15x10's is -4. Will this fit or will I have to opt for a smaller width and less offset? Unknown offsets for the 15x9.5, as i;m still in the deciding stages.

Bascially im due for coilovers soon and I'm just getting some ideas on what will fit and what will not.

Hopefully, my question and explaining is understandable, as i'm keen to make a desirable impact.

    Many Thanks

    Lance.

15s are tiny on an E36. 16s would be the smallest I'd go.

But to answer your question, those rears would poke, a lot.
    I dislike Byron.

        Thanks man.
Yeah I would like a bit of poke, but by the sounds of that, there will be a fair amount so that'd be a no-go. 16's are my best bet for sure.

Yeah haha i probably would die. But yeah the fitment on that is pretty good, So 16x10 ET17 would be a very similar fit? Because if so, I'd for sure go with all specs above, different wheel size. Obviously not the same wheels something different.

I'd rather get the right specs, than buying wheels that probably won't fit.

        Thanks again guys.

Depends... Neither hes wheels fit e36 or mine's... Without a nice roll fender

But regarding ur question on "what" wheels will fit on ur e36 (based on ET), i must tell u right now that on front, with coils, i bet u will also need spacers or the wheel will touch on the coil springs, and going with large wheels on front will require u to roll fender them also.

Mines are 7.5 front and 9 (ET8) on the back, so i just needed to roll fender the back ones (alotttt)

(sorry mi bad english, im Portuguese hehe)

          =====

Not sure if this will help but i will pst here some info i have regarding wheel offset and detail, special the "official" e36 ones...
