  • Smaller the wheels lower the car can go?

If you say, had a set of 18s and a set of 17s..

Would the car be able to be slammed an inch lower on the 17s?

to be helpful, not that i know much. but yes it will be able to go lower without rubbing. the mounting point is 1/2 inch lower with the 17s than with the 18s. math may be wrong. but yes

It all depends on what tires you plan on going with.

          a 225/45-17 is taller then 225/35-18.

            Thanks guys,

I logged in to find two posts which kinda made me feel like shit. Like I was retarded or something.

Playground bullying still exists on this forum I see..

I'll be stretching the tires with as low profile I can get!

            Cheers

You just need to apply some logic and think practically about it. Generally speaking smaller wheels allow you to go lower as they have less chance of rubbing things since you can reduce your rolling diameter. While bigger wheels tend to increase your rolling diameter. But if you do the maths carefully you can effectively get the same overall size either way providing tyres are available in the 'perfect' size. Also it depends on the shape of your guards a bit too, you may rub a little tyre on 17s but on 18s the rim may be in that spot and so the rim may rub causing you to not be able to ride as low
