  • Want Some Opinions...

Ok well i picked up some OEM Benz S550 wheels that are 19x8.5/9.5 that will be going on my 06 audi a4

im planning on being fairly low so my question is what size tires should i run?

i was thinking i would do a 225/35 up front and a 235/35 in the rear but im starting to consider 215/35F and 225/35R so i was just wondering what every ones thoughts on this would be...i looked on tyre stretch.com or whatever and that did not really help my decision

the wheels are pictured here along with the car during the worst test fit ever photographed:

so feel free to share your comments, questions, or concerns...

    thanks

I think the 215/35F and 225/35R would look pretty sick .

i mean, i'm not really going for looks as i'm really just looking for functionality AKA no rubbing lol
so technically it would make sense to get a narrower tire i suppose but i just wanted to hear some opinions

thanks for the reply raffi...anyone else want to give me their $.02?

        I think a 215 is a good strech on an 8.5 and that's what I'm running, a 215 on a 8.5 and a 225 on a 9.5

The stretch is ok, nothing major, but it does help with clearance. 225 and 235 is a bit much imo

x2 a 225/35 in the front would not have any stretch a 215 would be best and the same in the rear, this way you shouldnt rub and you will be able to go lower as well!

First off congratulations and nice choice in wheels, I was actually just the other day gawking at those very wheels on an S class
21/35/19 is what was suggested I run on my 19x8.5s...accordingly so for your rears. Thats gonna be a clean set up. Can't wait to see it on the floor. Maybe say some 15mm spacers or so, on all four corners will set it all off. Good Luck.

For sure, you're welcome. Slammed on those wheels will be a real good start.
...I'm just finding out that what they say about stance being a process is true.

oh its most definitely a process lol that i learned after seeing what a lot of my friends have had to go through to get it just perfect...

but thats all part of the fun right?

im just ready to get that process going....

i think 215 for a 9.5 is a bit much you think? 225 would be a better stretch maybe.

best shot I have right now of the front static... that is also with a 235 in the rear, this year I changed it to a 225 and it gives me alot more room and looks better as well...

215 is the narrowest 19" wheel, so there's really no more you can do, it's a subtle stretch, and isn't too bad to roll on daily, I did with those all spring/summer/fall
