  • E36 on 10" rears?

Hi guys, trying to get some new wheels for my E36 touring and found a set of wheels i really like, problem is: Will they fit (at all) ?

    Specs are:

17x8,5 et 20 front (no problem there)

17x10 et15 rear <-- Is this going to fit at all? Some fenderrolling + camber-arms ofcourse and maybe even some pulling of the fenders perhaps?

Would be great to hear from someone who runs similar-speced wheels!

A few threads that might help.

If it has to do with wheels, tires or brakes it goes here. 'Nuff said.

17x10 et20ish 215/45. rolled fenders, stock springs and shocks. no rubbing. stock camber arms, not maxed out.

17x10 et19 215/40 super rolled fenders, not pulled tho. stanceworks coil overs, slight rubbing on rim due to how close they are. UUC camber arms, around -6 to -8 camber.

17x10 et19 215/40 super rolled fenders, not pulled tho. stanceworks coil overs, slight rubbing on tire due to how close they are, stock camber arms maxed out, running around -3.2 camber.

      Stretch on the rears.

Enough picture whoring look at my build thread v3 for more info. And good luck with your project.

Rears will fit with a decent some work from a fender roller and some camber.

yea it depends on how much camber youre willing to run. youre going to at least need a roll/shave the fenders to make them flat... going to need to pull them if you want to be able to run anywhere close to a more normal camber.

you can always take the wheels to a wheel shop and have them shave down the back a little bit to get a slightly higher offset... just an option.

Should have no problem fitting those. Just make sure to match the front stretch to the rear and space the fronts to matcht the rear aggressiveness.

so it seems like 5-7degrees camber, not fully maxed out coils and a serious roll is the winning combination! They're going on my daily so can't go too crazy :P

you will get around -3 on stock camber arms, if you want to save the money and not buy new arms. You can just pull the fenders a little bit.

but for my case, i really don't like the pulled look, so that was why i had the large amount of camber.
Also you can see in my build thread v3 how i got my fenders that flat. Almost impossible to get them flatter.
