  • what size spacers for style 5's?

This probably been asked a million times, but what size spacers should I run on my E36 with style 5's? 17x8 et20 with falken 512 205/40 all around. Im looking for some pokeage. Im thinking on 25mm in the rear to get a final offset of -5 then 20mm in the front for 0 offset. Any tips/pics?

    UPDATE 1/14/10:
Thinking about 20mm all around now, final offset would be 0. I seen it done already, but my question is

Should I run flush and sacrifice low OR sacrifice flush and run 10mm all around and slam it.

that would be perfect, depends on the tire and how low you wanna go, i got 10mm all around and it it rubs like crazy everywhere cause of how low i am still wish i would of done 20m out back and 15mm up front though

i was going to do them same 25 out back and 20 in the front but would have to run some crazy camber and maybe raise my car higher..

the real downfall to tryin to "stance" a car with style 5's is the width, they are only 8" wide and in theory the smallest tire you can run is a 205/40 which in my opinion already looks to small in the back of an e36/46 and on top of that you dont get the kind of stretch you need to really poke out the lips on the wheels, thats prob the only reason why i decided to just run th 10mm and dump it out, it sits right and im wayyy lower now than i ever was on my 9.5's

Thats my main problem. The 205 doesn't stretch well enough to pull off the poke look in my opinion. Tyrestrech.com has a 8 with nankang ns2 185/35/17 (can't seem to find it anywhere tho) wrapped on it and it looks perfect. But then you run into problems with weight ratings and the look of small tires in the rear.

Yea I'm pretty sure those aren't offered here and the weight rating wouldn't good.. Not to mention how silly it would look back there lol

Yeah. I think I might just go 20 in the rear and 15 up front then drop it as low as it goes.

Balleur, are you running 10 all around in your sig or is that with the vette wheels?

I seen them, and it looks sick. It looks lower with the 5's then the vette wheels. Im just urning for that flush/poke fitment. If only they made style 5's in 9.5

True. Theres so many wider rims available out now that are cheaper that it wouldn't be worth spending a insanely amount of money for style 5.

Agreed. I seen them with 10mm all around. I found this pic of 20mm on all 4 corners but the guy didnt have anymore pics. He said it fit with 205/40 and fenders rolled.

                            215/40 with 12mm spacers

I don't have any exp about the specifics of that setup/chassis but as to your question...I'd go for more low over poke any day, but thats just me. Considering there's no mini-truck tuck LoL. But yea, as long as they aren't COMPLETELY sunken in, I say go more for low. Sounds like you wanna get them out as far as possible w/ 10mm all around so you should be cool. Good luck, can't wait to see those on...put your Vans on the back dash LoL
