unfortunately he is correct... so are the SL's currently on my car... now would that stop you from getting new barrels and unwelding/re-welding? Anything is possible.

some of them do. the lips and barrels are welded together effectively making them 2 piece. the kf's in question are one of those models from what i've been told.

exactly he can get new lips and barrels.Originally posted by yokotas13 View Postwhat part of welded barrels do you not understand
If you really want them so bad just buy them, and rock em until you have enough for new barrels and lips and then swap them out. Then you can have wide wheels, fat lips and low offsets. It'd probably cost as much as new wheels in the end though but you'd have the exact specs you want and you'd get to rock a nice (narrow) wheel in the meantime.Originally posted by Richard_Gud. that is if you can source the lips and barrels you want. i know nothing about work parts.Last edited by Ollie; 12-23-2009, 03:20 PM.

yeah same reason i sold my ssr professors, the barrel/lips are welded so in order to widen you actualy have to buy the whole lip/barrel setup. Thats is the reason I stay away from a lot of the japanese wheels. For some reason they like to call their wheels 3 piece when in actuality they are a 2 piece cause they weld them together
