stretching conti's and sumitomos?

getting tires for my borbets soon, the specs are 17x8.5 et13 and 17x10 et 20.
for the 8.5" im going with a 205/40 Sumitomo HTR A/S P01. has anyone had experience stretching these tires before? how do they stretch? are they too thick of a sidewall? if so, what tires (under $110 each) would you recommend?


the rears are getting 225/45 Continental contiprocontact tires, that i basically got for free. how do they stretch? yay or nay?

i'm running 215/35/17 conti's (sportcontact 2) on 8,5J and 10J wheels, and they're stretched pretty fine...

i had those conti's on a 9.5 for a while and they did just fine.
