165/xx/16 on 9j???

Hi,

I have a set of 16x9 et15 borbets and i want them to fit on my jetta mk2, but i still want to go low without the tires rubbing, currently 215/40/16's but they will rub bad.
Will it be possible to run or even fit a 165/xx/16 on a 16x9 wheel, or am i just crazy and will it look bad. And what about tire wear, will it wear any faster.

Oherwise i will get 195/40/16..

sure it's possible but only stretch as much as you need to or else it's lame

I think i need it, now i have 195/45/15 on 15x7 et35 ronals, and when i put the borbets on i had to raise the car 3 to 4 cm all round and it just cleared the tires. Looked awfull that high.

I might try 195/40/16's.
