Am i doing it right?

Hey everyone got my first set of RS's and I’m going to put them on my 05 WRX. The set I bought are currently staggered so I need to make them all the same width. I don’t know what size tires to shoot for. I DD the car and like to take corners and I’ll probably make it a little faster in the future. So first thing I need to do is figure out what size tire I want and then make the wheels work with that. My first question is if you measure the complete width of the rim do you subtract 1/2 inch for each bead and that will be your tire with? So a 9” rim minus 1” (1/2” for each bead) equals a 8” wide tire? Are the measurements in the picture and what I wrote on here correct? Like the barrels are really 8" to the very end but they are 7.5" barrels because you have to subtract for the bead correct?

Fronts are 17" et43
Barrels are 7"
Lips are 1/2"
Bead to bead is 9"

Rears are 17" et40
Barrels are 7.5"
Lips are 1"
Bead to bead is 10"

If ET is fine keep em as they are. Otherwise you end up ordering 4lips? which will take you back 250$ / piece..

For tire wise.. depending on your current tires..
Front:
215/45/17
225/45/17

Rear:
245/40/17
255/40/17
