that wouldnt be too small would it? the wheels i plan on putting on my e28 for now are only 15x7's so i have to run a pretty small tire to have any stretch on it, i just dont want the tires to be too short and have the car literally laying on the ground and have an inch of fender gap

any pics of an e28 on similiar tires would be great, thanks

          NO!!!

while this size may look good on a small VW, this will look absolutley out of place on a E28 . . those tires are tiny! . . stock E28 tire size is 195/70R14 . . 165/45R15 are about 10cm( 4 inches!! ) less in diameter . . and the width is a joke on a "big" car like this . . it will look like a clowns car and you can't lower it enough to make such wheels even halfway fill the wheel-wells (just imagine, the tire size alone will lower your car 2 inches!! . . but also creating 2 inches of fender gap . . ). . traction on those will be close to none . . not to mention, that you'll probably don't find that size with the correct weight-index for a E28 . .

          I do have 195/45R16 on my E12 . . and even those are "small" wheels for a E12/E28 . .

          on 15's on a E28 i would go at least 185/55R15 . . there is just no reasonable tire size that stretches on a 7x15 for a E28 ,. .

here is a picture of a E28 on 195/45R16's in the front . . which are still 2 inches bigger in diameter than your suggested tire size . . . so if you had your E28 lowerded (suspention-wise) as much as this red one . . you'd still have a inch of fender gap . . and it would also sit a inch lower to the ground . .

yeah thats what i was afraid of ^ i think ill probably just run the wheels with the meaty tires that are on them until i can save up for some wider and/or possibly 16" wheels
