  • A little help to paint my wheels

Hi, I'm looking to do the same finish of these wheels, known to all rotiformīs audi a4 avant

teal candy over polished aluminum, but I have doubts on how to apply the candy,
now I have other wheels painted (teal candy over chrome paint)

but I want to get more shine, my new wheels are fully polished and I have the perfect opportunity to try it but I fear that the aluminum primer is not sufficient for proper fixing for the candy. In other forums, people have recommended sand the wheels with 3000 sandpaper and water so that the primer can be stick, but I think it's fuck the polish, besides that sanding scratches are going to see after paint because the candy is "transparent"

can anyone recommend me the right way to do it?
can someone make sure the primer for aluminum is enough?
    thanks

I think the wetsanding with 3000 should be fine. It shouldn't scratch the finish, just make it so the primer has somewhere to stick to.

3000 Wetsanding is the last process that I used before polishing .. at which time the piece has nothing bright or mirror shine..
