  • Streching tires and rim fitment on w210

Hello, I am planning on putting a set of 17" ESM 001 wheel with Falken Ziex502 tires on my Mercedes E 320 4matic...Can anyone recommend a good tire size to stretch the tire on a 17x8 wheel. Also does anyone know of any fitment issues with w210 4matic's... I know they have a significantly different suspension setup and was wondering if anyone has had issues...THX

Real Compomotives are close to the same price as those ESM's, and will be a much stronger and lighter wheel. Just sayin...

As for tire size on a 17x8, a 205/40 is going to be about the only size that would stretch, and even then it wouldn't be that excessive. I can't help with the offset advise unfortunately.

ESM is pretty much a more expensive and worse looking Rota. They make replica wheels in china with no strength testing. This is a picture of a wheel they sold brand new to an e30 guy

He asked for a 4 lug wheel, so they drilled a 5 lug wheel that they had in stock. I wouldn't do any business with them.

There is no reason to stretch a tire on a 8" wheel for a w210, they can easily fit those with tons of room to spare. .

If budget is an issue, try looking at some wider and better stock wheels, like AMG's, they can be had for only a few hundred in great condition.

Truth not feeling those, get some AMGs! A stock w210 can easily fit 9's

If you would like me to PM you post the last 63 sets of wheels I have owned in the past two years I can. Right now I have some volks & turning wheels I am working on, why throw them on while my car sits outside lol.

ESM is an over priced replica wheel and iirc this is the same company that made near damn exact copies and got sued or forced to stop making copies by work a while back. Idk the owner or company, but just IMHO they ruin the scene coping beautiful wheels, charging a lot for them, and not doing anything them self. (If this is all false, please excuse me, just something I have heard from multiple people who have been in this for as long as I have been walking).

ESM wheels are all replicas of old successful beautiful wheels, I understand what they are doing and I am sure they are making money, so good for them. But why not follow rotiform, make awesome wheels you design, make money off your creation not tracing someone else's.

Lastly, what do you mean about wheels being h8d on for being cheap, cheap wheels rock, spending a lot on reps is stupid. I got my american racing rollers for 100 bucks lol, I can show you 08 GTI if you would like as well. Don't call out people if you don't know crap about it please. Sorry for clogging your thread with this crap, but I would check out some other wheels before them for the price.
