  • Weird Combination Question: 370Z Nismo's on a New Edge Stang???

    Yeah, you read it right.

A friend of mine has a set of 370Z Nismo's, 19x9 and 19x10's up for sale cheap.
Meanwhile I've got a hideous mess of a car that could use some new rims, instead of the crappy 17x8 Bullitt's on it now.

So I'm asking what you think of these:

On something so hideous as this:

(Shopped picture a friend did to show what it would look like with more tint)

Yes, I'm fully aware it looks like crap. The spoiler has since been deleted, the rims came with the car and will definitely be changed out, the tires were $30/each just to get it on the road, and the front will be receiving a tubular k-frame, tubular a-arms, and coilovers. Not to mention I'm not a solid axle stang, the rear end is a 04 Cobra IRS, dropped with unknown springs and Bilsteins.

My biggest concern with the Nismo's is performance. Not sure if I can get decent DR's for them, and they don't have the width and sidewall if I went with 17x10.5's. I'll have around 550 ft-lb, so I'd like to make use of it.

If they do seem like a horrible idea, any other suggestions for road wheels? I'd like a 17x10.5 out back to hook, and I'm pretty partial to Bullitt's or Saleen's, though some Enkei's have piqued my interest lately.

So there it is. Now go ahead and tear into the domestic guy.
I Have No Idea What I'm Doing

Well you're obviously no 'Murrican idiot, if you've got a Cobra IRS package stuffed in the ass of your GT.

Don't quote me, but I believe Nitto has 19" drag radials available. Though they're essentially pointless, with almost no sidewall. I'd place a hefty wager that even drag radials with that small of a sidewall would just spin regardless. If you want to be able to use your power, get a pair of knockoff Cobras or FR500s in 10.5" flavor and mount a pair of wrinkle walls.

Get the Nismos, stance the fuck out of your car, add a Mach 1 lip or a Cobra front bumper, get the Mach 1 grille filler, and take a ridiculous amount of pictures. I'm interested to see where this goes.
