  • s2000 and tire choices.

Hey guys last season on my s2000, I ran 8.5x17 on a 205/45 and a 10x17 on a 215/45 all Falken 512s. It worked fairly great with the exception of my front fenders getting pushed out from turning.

Just was wondering to hear other peoples persepectives on other tire setups I could potentially run on this wheel setup. 205/40 215/40? 205/40 215/45? Comments/Concerns would be great, im slightly torn on what to go with and still get down to my stance like last year.

Thanks in advance. (Picture from last seasons setup)

run 205/45 and widen your front wheels.

Could you explain what your suggesting? 205/45 all around? Just in front? Thanks.

basicaly you need to stretch more tire on your wheels. After looking at your pictures IMHO it would look dumb to go with smaller tire than what you already have. So my suggestion was to get .5" bigger lips or inner sheels for your wheels and still stretch same 205/45 in the front.

Thanks man and if I could afford new lips I totally would. What would you run if you had to with the wheel setup as is?

it will cost about the same to get a new set of lips or barrels and keep your tires as it would to get a new set of tires, so why not do that?

well actually new tires would be very cheap for me since I have a good hookup for 512s which is why im just asking if there is some better tire setup I could run with THIS wheel setup or just stay with what I currently have.

I do agree wider wheels would be ideal but it is what it is Thanks for all your advice so far.

512's are pretty much the best (its very narrow) tire for you.
