  • Machining one-off faces.

I'm a little drunk and bullshitting with a really good friend.. As I said in the title I would like to know how hard it would be to machine my own or have someone else machine a custom set of faces to fit a set of OZ faces and barrels. I have an idea on what I want the face to look like and I know how to use solidworks fairly well, I think all I would need is for someone to machine them for me.. anyone else have input?
I own an Eastwood roller, Western PA area, but will travel for $$

Easy, just get out your drill, metal bits, hand file and go to town ............

In all seriousness, I would contact the guys who make motorcycle wheels as the front wheels are generally made from 1 piece of aluminum and then machined down.

That is where I would start

Not particularly difficult, just expensive. Unless you have access to the machines necessary.

Yuri had a one-off set of wheels made, of his own design, while working for MHT.

Boyd Coddington had custom wheels machined in-house several times on the American Hot Rod TV show. Foose also frequently has billet wheels made for his projects. It's not that uncommon.

I know of a few machine shops around me, but none of them have ever cut faces before. I'm ok with the high price to have my design on my car. I just don't have the machinery to make it.

I talked to someone who had some made and pretty much would cost $1.5-2.5k for custom faces to be made

                This is his set
