  • where to buy a barrel/have a barrel made?

So I currently have corvette sawblades on my car. I found a set of old school ARE wheels, 2 piece, same specs as the corvette wheels (17x9.5). One of the barrels is bent beyond repair, and would need to be replaced. Obviously these wheels are from the late 80's/Early 90's, so finding a replacement barrel would be nearly impossible. I was wondering what my options were for getting one made the the same specs as the wheels, and an approximate cost to see if the wheels are still worth picking up.

i would get in touch with rotiform, sponsors of this forum. they have made barrels for BBS, Ronal, etc. wheel types with great success.

I contacted Rotiform, waiting to hear back. I would also like to explore other options, I'm sure people have used other routes.

Try contacting a metalspinning firm who have a PNC lathe they should be able to make a barrel. I work for one in the UK and we make stuff like that. It will not be cheap though if one of tooling is required.

My buddy just got 2 from Rotiform... pics are in his thread here. Quality looks amazing and turn around time wasn't that bad at all!

Post your build threads here! Keep us updated on what you're doing in your garage.

thanks for the replies guys. I got in contact with Rotiform and the price is actually pretty reasonable for the barrel. If I go through with the purchase I will most likely be going with them, as long as they can make it for me (based on the measurements I sent them)
