  • E30 fitment question

I'm hoping some of the E30 vets can help out on this. I'm looking at a set of wheels. Specs are:

    16x7 ET0 (20MM 4x100 to 5x130 spacers for a total ET of -20)
    16x9 ET0 (20MM spacers again for a total ET of -20)

Is pulling the fenders going to be enough or am I looking at flares? The car is on stock 4x100 hubs/brakes. Suspension will be coilover conversion 450/650. Car is an M42 so it has the low oil pan.

I'm thinking I could move the rear barrels up front for a 16x8 final ET of -7 and get rotiform rear lips and barrels to get to 16x9 ET 5. Thoughts?

your et's wouldnt be negative 20 if you started with 20 and add a 20mm adapter. they would be zero.
If you're ordering custom adapters, call 775.530.2483 to make sure you are getting exactly what you want. Thanks

      For comparison, 15x9 -3 front, 15x9 +0 rear:

Both set-ups are totally feasible, it just depends on the tire size you go with.

You're right. The ET before adapters is zero. Doable in the front I think but rear... unsure.

        The wheels:

He wouldn't, your car isn't lowered. When you lower e30's in the rear, the trailing arm suspension creates natural camber, With slim tires and a hard roll front and rear you should be sitting perfect! those wheels look great.

my car is lowered 45 mm in that pic but car wasnt driven on to let the spring settle back down, they were sitting a half an inch from the arch when looking from the top down, camber wont pull them in that much.

I gained about -4 degrees of camber just from how low I was...

mine on the 45mm springs had -3.5, ill be getting mine flared before i fit them wheels any way. just getting the 10mm flat part of the arch flared to be inline with the rest of it.

With slim tires and rolled fenders/quarters you'll be good. At worst you'll have to pull the rear arches out a little as well. Luckily i have free access to a nice fender roller for my set up

Remember to get as much of the body filler out of there before you do roll, makes things MUCH easier. Good luck.

i wont be doing it lol, will be getting sent to my panel beater for him to look after it. he only repainted it a while ago and put a new arch on that side so he knows it inside out at this stage.
