ek offset help please

im looking for new wheel and trying to figure out the offset and everything out. i have a 99 ek hatch currently with 15x6 +45 ls meshie wheels and they sit about 2 inches in from the edge of the fender, and im looking at either 15 or 16 by 8 with about a +12 offset. does that make sense to have the wheel sit a little more flush to the fenders? any help would be great.

Yes.

x8 +12 will be mildly aggressive on stock fenders. Will be more than "slightly flush" without modification. When Hondafolk in North America started doing the flush stance thing en masse, it was mostly Sportmax 002 and 501 (x8 +0 and +15 respectively), so that gives you an idea how they fit.

Now a greater number (than before) of people are running 9" wheels with similar backspacing (but obviously this pokes more in a 9"), and some crazyhats are doing 10".
