  • Wheel refinishing experts.

Quick question for you, I have some DPE S20 wheels.
I would like to refinish them this spring and I would like to do them myself.

Where do you guys get the the sockets to remove the bolts?
    They are 12point fasteners.

Also, is there some place one could source new bolts, do you guys always replace them, or is it ok to re-use them?

The fastners look almost identical to these BBS ones, and although i counted in the dark, im pretty sure its a 12 point...

      They do make special sockets.

Ive always used 12pt sockets, though. Never had a problem. Saran wrap while installing will prevent and marring or scuffs.

Not sure where to get them over here, I just remembered that thread from wheel whores had a link.

BFI has a nice selection of parts- http://store.blackforestindustries.com/wheels.html

          Ebay also has bolts.

No problem. Sealant is another thing that people will argue to the death. I use GE silicone2. Lots of people use RTV

Yeah, ive heard a few different takes. honestly, i will probably go with one of the ones you mentioned. $50/tube is a bit steep. But i will see if i can source some of the fancy one on those sites, for cheap when i go to Germany next month.
