  • Will they fit?

Yo my name is josh, I'm from the uk and I'm about to try something very different with my 03 focus rs.

Now over here people like to make the rs into rally look alike, comp mo6 semi slicks etc.

Im going totally different, bought a set of bbs ch reps 9j rear 8j fronts, now I've got some custom adaptors coming from america to get me from 4x108 to 5x120 to fit them.

All I'm asking is the wheels on the rear are going to stick out from the edge of the arch to edge of rim about 35-40mm once everything is on, without any camber, if i add a bit of camber how much will i be able to pull the tops under? Gonna be running a 215/40/18 on the 9j and a 205/40/18 on the 8j.

Any help would be much appreciated.

That's a awesome site dude! Could you tell me how much more the new rim will stick out of the arch than the stock wheel?

That is what the site if for? Type in dimensions of old and new setup. Go meassure gap on wheel arch then compare to the numbers calculated.

Yes. Poke refers to how much it pokes out of the fender. willtheyfit.com is nice, but another good tool is 1010tires. You lose the ability to visualize things, but it's easier to understand.

According to willtheyfit.com you'll have like 20mm poke. Go measure your car and do some arithmetic.

That's great so roughly 20mm from the edge of the fender to the edge of the rim?

I'll visit that other site but thanks dude!

I dont use those sites but how did you measure the poke from the fender without any other measurements? That would be the poke the new wheel would have to his old wheels, without calculating the adapters.

OP, assuming your adapters are a standard size (20mm), 40mm of poke outside of your current wheels before camber is where you will be. The rear wheels look maybe 10mm sunk to me (tough to tell) but either way you shouldn't have a problem pulling them in with a few degrees of camber.

Yeah just been out and took some more measurements, the wheel stick 30mm inside the fender at the minute. And the adaptors are 35mm thick

Does this make it easier to calculate how much il have sticking outside the fender?

It does make it easier, as because without measurement it's impossible

Old vs new setup: 20mm difference. + 35mm adapter.
                          30mm - 55mm = 25mm outside fender on new setup.
