    Hey!

Does anyone have a guide for disassemble/assembly of 2-3 piece wheels? I didn't find anything with a search..

    Thanks!

Some say do a bead in between surfaces but others say only a bead on the outside. Success with either?

im gonna just copy and paste what i wrote to another guy on here in a different thread... i think i might just have to start a thread about how to do this!

whatever you do, do not put any between the bolts! and make sure you torque your bolts down first to i think 15ftlbs if i remember correctly.

(rtv between the barrel and lip is pointless and could lead to problems whether it be instant or in the future)

and i think for the most part any rtv should work fine. some people use red, clear, black etc, i personally used permatex ultra black and its working great so far. after you clean the surface up, tape around the wheel with masking tape on both the lip and barrel side, lay a nice bead of rtv around the rim, lightly run your finger around the bead to smooth it out and then let it cure for 24hours.

also to take the wheel apart just take all the bolts off, run a blade around the sealant between lip and barrel pretty much as deep as it can go then take a mallet and knock the lip off (make sure you do it on grass, carpet, or anything soft so the lip doesnt get dinged up when you knock it off)
