  • Removing tyre wall markings??

    Im looking at removing the writing/marking with all the info of the tyre from the tyres wall. Any idea how to do it?

    make them rub, drive like that 1-2miles and you're ready

      Sand them down, try google there are some DIY's on hot rod forums.

      dont make them rub and drive, they turn ugly brownish

            DA sander, 80 grit, and some good ale. Have at it!

            Oh yeah, scotchbrite pads for the area real close tot he bead (where the DOT/sizing marks are) so that area doesn't stay shiny.

                  Indeed. This is how a lot of people have been making "wide whites" for a long time too. Take any tire with a thin white stripe, or white lettering, sand down with a DA, and you'll find that about 90% of the sidewall is white underneath. I did this on my Caddy.
