  • suggestions on a proper e46 fitment plz

so i just recently picked up an imola e46 m3 and im trying to figure out how to achieve a look similar to hinrich's m3 pictured below...

now im in the process of picking up a set of Speedline Alessio wheels form Mike36 in 18x8.5 et14 (front) and 18x10 et20 (rear) now fronts are currently running a 235/40/18 and the rears have a 245/40/18.

pic of the wheels in question...

now my question is what size spacers to buy to get a decent amount of poke without rubbing. i was thinking a 15mm in front and a 20mm in the rear...

    thoughts/comments/suggestions...Fire away.

those are pretty low offsets as is. i ran 18x9.5 +25 and 18x11+25 if you remember how they looked. with a 235/40 front and 275/35 rear. those adapters should give you a good amount of poke for sure, and i would run a 235/35 front and 265/35 rear for tires

steve what are you talking about adapters???

i feel like your car didnt have as much poke as i am looking for so im going to try and get down to an offset between 0-5mm with these wheels (ie 10mm spacer up front and a 15mm in the rear)

as for tires im prob going with a 215/40/18 when i replace the fronts and a 235/40/18 when i replace the rears.

maybe look in hinrichs thread to find the offsets?
          or ask him?

Just use one of those wheel calculators or do some good ol' wheel math on paper. Just figure how much his poke from the hubs and then compare to what you have, and then make up the difference you want in spacers.
